Lecture: Weaving Changes: From Hand to Power in Rural Maine


Textile Historian Rabbit Goody presents the role of the trade weaver in rural Maine before power weaving. The lecture focuses on the period between 1600 and 1870, a time when the textile industry went through changes from hand production to powered process in Europe and the United States.
