Jewett Brochure 8. Odd Fellows Block, Portland Street
Built 1845. The Odd Fellows is a benevolent fraternal order. Sarah’s father and two of her cousins, John Nealley and Elisha Jewett, were among the ten men who founded this branch in 1845. The Odd Fellows met upstairs, while merchants, including Sarah’s uncle William Jewett, had shops on the ground floor.
