Enjoy a performance by Harvey Reid, master minstrel, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who has been called "one of the true treasures of American acoustic music". For OBHS members - new members are welcome. Those who join the Old Berwick Historical Society can join regular members for a performance by acoustic musician Harvey Reid at the society’s Counting House Museum on Thursday evening, May 19. Doors open at 7:00 pm.Annual membership in the Old Berwick Historical Society is $20 per person, or $30 for a family. Member support provides the basis for the museum and for community local history programming throughout the year. The museum’s new exhibition, Village Voices: Tales of Enterprise and Endurance, will also be on display. The largest expansion of display space in decades at the Counting House, Village Voices occupies the historic second-floor hall. The exhibit chronicles four centuries of enterprise in the region through the lives of residents who have shaped key trades. The role of ingenuity and adaptation in sustaining work life is a primary theme. |
